Amaryllis Bulb Workshop - December 7, 2024

You're invited to join Carly and Joseph of Aromatic Acres for a collaboration with the Greater Milwaukee Christkindlmarkt + European Holiday Festival for a Saturday evening amaryllis bulb forcing workshop on December 7, 2024 from 6 PM - 8 PM inside the Little Red Store.
 
You'll spend the evening in a cozy indoor space of the Little Red Store learning the technique of forcing bulbs during some of the darkest days of the year. Plus get instruction on how to care for your bulbs post bloom, to encourage re-bloom next season.
 
At the end of the workshop, you'll take home your elevated tabletop bulb garden - a sophsticated 6" round white planter potted up with your amaryllis bulb (in the bloom color of your choice - select from options below) topped with chartruse reindeer moss. The perfect life giving treat for the holidays followed by the darkest days of the year*.
 
Whether caring for your indoor garden is part of your holiday self-care strategy or you plan to give your planter as a holiday gift you won't want to miss this oppurtunity to spread holiday cheer. 
 
You can get amaryllis bulbs anywhere, but not these specialty bulbs. We will be using the largest amaryllis bulbs the industry has to offer - 34/36 cm, which means up to 3+ flower stalks with 3-4 flowers per stalk from just one bulb**. With proper care, the results will be incredible.
 
We recommend planning some extra time before or after the workshop to enjoy European inspired prepared foods, festive beverages, music and shopping throughout the market.
 
No experience necessary. 
All materials are included in the workshop fee. 
Each workshop is limited to 28 participants.
Participants must be 16 or older. 
 
We will be in an intimate space and want to encourage the health and safety of all our participants. Masking will be optional. Please do not attend if you are ill. All Workshop fees are nonrefundable, but may be transferred to a friend if you are unable to attend. 

* Unfortunately, we can not guarantee any blooms for Christmas. These bulbs are shipped dormant and when potted up and broken from domancy, they will likely bloom after the holidays, in January during one of the darkest months of the year.
